FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do you implement the architecture as well?+

My core work focuses on assessment, architecture, design systems, roadmaps, and senior implementation guidance. For selected engagements, I can also support implementation directly or work alongside your internal team.

Which technologies do you work with?+

My experience includes BigQuery, dbt, Airflow and Cloud Composer, Terraform, PostgreSQL, SingleStore, Python, SQL, streaming systems, BI tools, geospatial analytics, vector databases, and AI-oriented data workflows. The recommendation is always based on the problem. I do not force companies into a specific vendor stack.

Are you available full time?+

No. I work through fixed-scope consulting engagements, focused sprints, and limited fractional support. This keeps the work senior, focused, and outcome-oriented.

Do you work with early-stage startups?+

Yes, when the company has a real data problem, a clear decision-maker, and enough complexity to benefit from architectural guidance. For very early companies, the best engagement is usually a small assessment or blueprint rather than a large implementation.

Can you review an existing dbt project?+

Yes. A review can cover project structure, model boundaries, naming, testing, performance, documentation, ownership, deployment workflow, and long-term maintainability.

Can you help us prepare for AI initiatives?+

Yes, but AI readiness starts with reliable data foundations. I review whether the necessary data is accessible, governed, documented, high quality, and operationally sustainable before recommending AI-specific architecture.

Will you replace our internal team?+

No. My role is to provide clarity, senior direction, reusable systems, and independent judgment so your internal team can execute more effectively.

How does a project begin?+

We start with a short call to understand the business problem, current platform, team, urgency, and desired outcome. If there is a fit, I propose a clear scope, timeline, deliverables, and price.
